Azerbajdzjan - Tbilisi to Baku by train

It was my second time in Georgia when I decided to not only explore Georgia, but also neighboring Azerbajdzjan. There is one train that goes every night and it took about 12h. As a swedish citizen I had to apply for an online-visa. It was very easy and took about 2 days to recieve on my mail. With the visa and passport in my hand I went to the station to book a ticket for the train. I decided to book the first train i could find, which was... in 5h.

The journey was quite good with comfortable beds and the only negative thing was the all the time we had to wait at the borders.

When arrriving in Baku I went straight to my friends place for resting a bit after my long journey and then we went outside to explore Baku!

Baku is a really beautiful city and it reminds me alot of both Istanbul and Dubai, like a cozy mix somehow. We went to see the flame towers, the old city, the fire temple and maiden tower. They were all very impressive. I spent 3 days in the city centre of Baku and the last day we went to the Caspian Sea to enjoy some drinks in the sunset.
