Uzbekistan part 1 - Stolen Passport

So, despite the fact that we were in the beginning of a global pandemic, I decided to travel. Uzbekistan has been a dreamdestination for me for a very long time. So I booked, 3 days in advance, a flight to Tasjkent.

The flight was one of the worst I ever experienced, not only because of the turbulence, but also since my passport was stolen!! I was entering the flight, bound for Tasjkent, trying to find my seat which was located in the back of the flight. When I found my seat I realized that my passport wasn't in my bag. I looked everywhere but couldn't find it. A friendly steward told me that I had to sit down during the takeoff and that he would help me as soon as we reached cruising altitude. So many thought came to my mind. would they even let me off the plane in Tasjkent without a passport?

2 hours later and still without my passport, I decided to take a walk in the plane. I was devastated and tried to mentally prepare for being sent back, when I saw a sleeping man in the middle of the plane with a swedishlooking passport almost falling out of his pocket. without thinking, I grabbed it from him and I realized that it was MY PASSPORT!! The man started to swear in uzbek or turkish and 3 stewards came running. One of them was the nice guy who offered to help me when I first realized that I lost it. He asked what I was doing and I showed him the passport. MY passport. He just answered with " oh shit" and then he told me to go back to my seat. He promised me that they would take care of the man.

Relieved and happy I went back to my seat. I was now ready to begin my adventure in Uzbekistan!
